I co-founded InfluencerAI with Morten Andersen because we got tired of "best AI tool" lists written by people who clearly hadn't opened the software. We use these tools every single day — for our own content, for client work, and for running a lean two-person operation that ships more than most 10-person teams.
My role here: I personally test and sign off on roughly half of the tool reviews on this site, with Morten covering the other half. Every review I put my name on, I've used the tool on real work — not a demo, not a test account, not a screenshot walkthrough. Real work, real money spent, real output shipped.
I've been using AI tools in real business and content workflows for over a decade — well before "AI" became a marketing checkbox on every SaaS landing page. My background sits at the intersection of enterprise software, content, and automation, which means I look at every tool through two lenses: does it actually do the job, and does it hold up when you use it five days a week?
Honest scoring. I score tools using the InfluencerAI methodology — a 12-point rubric, six scored dimensions. If a tool is weak in one of those dimensions, the score reflects it, even if the tool is otherwise great.
Hands-on testing. I sign up, I pay for the tier that makes sense, and I use the tool on real creator tasks. I take real screenshots. I write the review after I've actually shipped something with the tool, not before.
Named, accountable bylines. My name is on every review I wrote. LinkedIn, email, the works. If I got something wrong, you can reach me directly and I'll fix it publicly with a dated correction.
Some links in my reviews are affiliate links. That's disclosed on every review and explained in full on our affiliate disclosure page. The short version: affiliate status does not change my scores. I score tools before the partnerships side adds any link, and I've scored affiliate partners below 6/10 and recommended alternatives in the same review.
If a review on this site is out of date, factually wrong, or unclear, email me directly at fredrik@influenceraiagents.com or message me on LinkedIn. If a vendor wants to respond to something I wrote, same channels — we publish vendor responses visibly at the top of the review.
